From it’s humble beginnings in 1981 STOMP became a worldwide phenomenon which electrified audiences throughout the world. It ran in London’s West End until its closing show in January 2018. Inspired by this we organised a ‘green arts’ community playshop version in 2004 in Hounslow where all the items used for percussion came from the local waste disposal facility in Feltham; We named the project – ‘Urban Heartbeat -Recycled Sound’. This was part of ‘Soul in the Park’ a Hounslow Community event.
People of all ages and backgrounds enjoyed a wonderful weekend of Summer fun. Thanks to all the team that made this event possible.
